I can tell by looking at them, they had a black centre cap saying GB on the, they are different to superlights as the ponit on the humps is'nt as pointy. If someone wants a set they are worth money, i bought a whole clubman for $400 just to get the wheels.

Less cows die. Good if you are a vegitarian hippe. Then all you need is a GREENPEACE sticker on the back window(yet belching out deadly smoke from an untuned car) and you can drive with complete peace of mind.

Well like with everything else mini related, if you're gonna do it, it's gonna take time and your gonna do it right! I just spent Australia day stripping and painting my wheels, and I did a damn good job of it too if I do say so myself.

But yeah, it took 3-4 attempts at paint removal before success. But the results were worth it!

Do you need to put a protect coating on the wheels to stop them oxidising. Some type of clear paint. Does anybody know what type of clear paint to use??

I'm not sure how the paint stripper will effect the metal but as these are my SPARE wheel that I will only use on track days I was not too concerned. I just wanted to get the paint off.

Even though I bagged people for painting wheels I did toss up on painting the centres white which looks good. But they came up so clean after the paint strip I think I will leave them

I'd leave them white, polish the rim part with Meguiar's or Mothers metal polish once a month.
