Well done Chop Chop. I was about to launch a tirade of abuse on Mini members here about them being pompous and precious because this car had never been spotted before, even though I drive it daily around Lower North shore over the harbour bridge at least every 2nd day and often around the city and eastern suburbs. I believed it was because this one is a bit too scruffy and ugly. Especially since my second Mini, which was in my garage for 3 years and only came out about 3 times for drives was spotted instantly on here when i took it up the road on the 5th of May. I presumed that was because it looked immaculate. But at the end of this day i love the old scruffy one, its faster, and less cleaning needs doing on it. (in fact no cleaning is ever done on it). Cheers to bringing a smile to my face Choppy.

In fact, if anybody would like to see the front of this car (it is unusual) let me know how to send a picture so someone can put it up for me.

No worries Gerry, no mini is too scruffy to be spotted.
Is it its original colours? It did seem to cruise along at a good pace.
I'll flash and beep next time.

Gerry, was this car parked along South Dowling Street outside the Antiques shop on either Wed or Thursday this week? 8) I was driving along and didn't have the chance to get a picture or even a numberplate.

BTW, I putt around the Lower North Shore and you've never spotted me. :P

You've got me there. I have never been a spotter. I tend to sit back and observe. This mini flys. 1300 engine. I may drive it a little too quick. I usually hit 120 ks over the bridge, but the car rattles shakes and I may end up buried in it one day. Worst thing is the Cahill Expressway when you hit those grid things they have across the road. Next time my suspension goes I'm gonna hit the Sydney City council for the cost of a new bag.

Don't think i parked in South Dowling. I often park over the road across from Footy stadium.

thanks Mini drifter. The Tiger mobile ! I'm guessing that they're not original colourings for a Mini. But I like it.

Ahhh Speedy, maybe you could paint yours in Norths Colours. I went two weeks ago to Leichhard to see Norths v Balmain in the KB cup. Great game, 30 all. Unusual to see Norths leading the comp, but then again, they are packed with Souths first grade stars.
