Not sure on the brightest but halogens should be more then enough for your mini. Depends on the brand i think. I just fitted halogens to mine but i still gotta put the relays on.

yeah i just want something modern looking.. halgoens are bright enough.. but i like the effect modern lights have when you see them aat night.. for instance the chrystler 300c's have quite distinguished lights

The blue light look? I think there HID's. Much brighter then halogens but also more expensive.

Love the halogens. 60/90 bulbs are pretty bright, 90/130 bulbs will burn your eyes out (and possibly attract attention from the constabulary too) but are awesome for country driving.

To get the full benefit of a good pair of headlights it is very important to have a pair of Relays wired in and also you will need a good sourse of power to back it up like a good Alternator. No point in fitting bigger bulbs or brighetr headlights when you are trying to light them up through the standard Mini wiring and switches. Switches will not last very long. It is cheaper to wire up some relays first. Most times relays will improve the lighting efficiency so much that you will not need to change the headlights at all. You will be surprised the old sealed beams how well they light up when they are given the full voltage they need to work. Try My headlight wiring hints in the "How to" section.

I have 55/60w in my car and they are more than sufficient and dont draw too much current for the charging system to keep up.

Yes. I am in love with my HID headlights. As we know all the early moldels uses seal beam. Bought a set of H4 angel headlights and using LED for the parker lights. Two days ago I got a set of HID H4 Hi Lo and look stunning. HID kit comes with relay etc. Just plug and play. I mean plug and shine. Cost me $120 including installation. Anyone interested please let me know so we can do a group deal.
