ahh yeah id be more interested in the 55w version if i were getting them

Discharge lighting is a lot more efficient than halogens.
I'd say 35w would be plenty.. Surely all your really after is that distinctive glow of HID any way, right?
I'd be checking with the authorities as this may not be a legal mod (from what i've been told)?? Especially cheap kits from china. You don't want to head over the pit for headlights...

Yeah, i know. Hence the legalities issue of fitting them to a car without the proper alignment. Just something to keep in mind that's all..

Well is should be legal. When you look at all the latest cars with optional xenon etc they are still on the road. I was driving next to new Golf GTI with Xenon, looks the same and is the same colour, just get 6000K temperature should be ok.

Like I said, don't take my word for it. I really like them too but have been told something along the lines that.. new cars with xenon beams all have to be fitted with a type of self leveling adjustment. Basically because they are f***ing bright. Put a heavy load in and you may start to distract oncoming traffic..
I had some angel eyes in my car, yeah you can put them in, but they are not ADR approved, therefore not road legal. Just putting it out there..

Yes I believe you can not legally retrofit HIDs. All modern vehicles fitted with HIDs are self-levelling so they are legal. And even then they can still be quite dazzling to oncoming traffic. Last thing you want is to blind people! ;)

On my car I fitted Philips 55/60w +50% globes, which are just as bright as the 90/100w I had previously, but sap up less power. And they look good too.

BTW, I thought late model Rovers had self levelling headlights. Food for thought...
