Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

I used to run front brakes off the pedal and rear brakes with the lever and I never got caught. (till now!) I won a few khanas with that setup.

is that not allowed? what was the advantage?

I'm sure you'd have won anyway ;)
There was no advantage, I had a leaking rear wheel cylinder, so I cured the leak by blocking the rear line with a ball bearing. I had actually fitted new wheel cylinders but one was leaking from new, it was the night before a khana so I had to fix it somehow so I just blocked them both off. I won the khana so I never bothered fixing it. This was with my Cooper S and you know how good it is!

Stickey tape on your dash, with a map hanging off it? Or do you have to remember? My brain was fried as a young teenager and I struggle to remember anything!

I made a natty little bracket with a bulldog clip rivetted to it, that is secured by one of the heater duct screws. I put the test layout in the clip.... but you don't get a lot of chance to look at the map when you're going as fast as you can with 10 meters between posts

you should just stick to a 'normal' hydraulic handbrake, get some experience with khanas, and then see if you want to do something fancier....

I sure do... my #2 favourite Cooper S :D

actually, it's not #2, it's #4... sorry, my car comes first, then there are another 2, then yours

I used to tape the map to the top of the dash with racetape. The leftover tape is still stuck to the vinyl 20 years later.
