Roller cam bearings have been around longer than the A series engine. I doubt that there have been any major breakthroughs in the past 30 years.
If I was chasing every last horsepower I would run one if I could prove that it did in fact add horsepower.

Fred Sayers has tinkered with the roller cams back when he was racing Minis in Sports Sedans. He couldn't get decent and reliable oil pressure. That was that.
PS. Fred used to work on Manton's minis.
