Brik nuts,,, there are efectively 2 different side cover "Castings"
(early type ones i`m talking about,,, but there are also thick & thin rod change ones as well,,, so don`t anyone go arguing with me here, i`m just trying to help him identify the thickness difference)
The std mini one with std mini bushes & seals,,, & then there is the thicker ones,,, those were set up for "S" type hardy spicer system & are definately thicker in the hub or boss where the bush & the seals fit,,,
Now,,, some of those Thicker "Castings" were slipped through the factory & set up as std mini items, so if you`re lucky & you find some std mini final drive side covers that are way thicker than the std mini ones, then yes they can be machined out to fit the "S" bushes & seals into them,,, BUT!!!!!!! Not all (in fact very few) are thick enough & you will need to hunt around a whole heap to find the thicker ones to do the machining on them,,,
DON`T try to machine the std mini Thin ones, it leaves them far to thin & weak as piss,,,
If you saw both the thick & the thin type covers side by side then you will see how much difference there is,,, without a thick one to compare then you`re flying bllnd
Got IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????????
Ph me if you want the "S" type covers
