Why would those people be happy if they lived in a moke free zone? They'd all be grumpy (well I would be).

I prefer to look at life through a pair of Moke coloured glasses :D

We used to have this argument all the time with the moke club - they used to say (in fact many of them still do) that a Moke is not a Mini. "It's a Moke, not a Mini Moke", they would say.

Not withstanding the fact that from 1966 to 1968 they were known as Morris Mini Mokes, and in 1969 BMC Mini Moke, then BMC Moke, then simply Moke by 1970.

Let's not forget that they were designed by Alec Issigonis and his team, and were designated the desing office number of ADO15B - ADO15 being the Mini, B for Buckboard.

Along the lines of the photo that started this all, Leyland had a slogan in the early 1970s, which they put on bumper stickers on Mokes and they were a huge marketing success. The sticker read - "Moking is not a wealth hazard".

I still have one of those stickers unused, somewhere.

Watto.

I remember those stickers they were great.
Around the same time cigarette advertising was still allowed on TV, at the end of each ad there was a voice over saying "smoking is a health hazard"

That moke looks cool the only thing I don't like is the S badge under the Moke badge.

Ls1380 your moke is looking very smart, slepping in side now?
