got it all sorted out

after following the above procedure from fellow ausmini member

for reference this is how I installed my KAD quickshift

Remove the stick from the cup
Undo the 5/16 Head bolt so that nothing is sticking out from the inside of the cup but still attached to the cup.
Then pushing the new cup down to the shifter box so that you can easily align it from the side holes.
Tighten the two bolts
Slide the new stick down the cup and shifter box
Undo the KAD knob and the lifting collar (reverse)
Then slide the gear stick rubber cover through the stick
Lifting collar and KAD knob back on


the new KAD shifter has a bigger diametre thread so the old gear knob wont fit, not sure whats the new size havent measured it yet...

Now just need to test drive it.....
