I think you'll find "Woods and Pickett " arches are wider than standard....and they attach through the arch lip.

In my opinion, the worst thing you could do is drill the side of your car for late model Rover arches. The previous owner of my S installed such arches. As much as i would like to remove them, to do would mean a bunch of welding and a complete paint job.

If you decide to remove the factory type arches or the W&P type, any holes will be covered by the chrome lip trim.

Cheers, Ian

I was looking at the Wood & Picket arches myself as they look real nice and sit out two and a quarter inches, but they apparently can be quite a pain to fit, though no one could tell me why.....

I used automotive double sided tape to hold mine on. Between that and the 'chrome' strip on the outside of the flares they haven't moved. Just make sure you clean the area well first. That way no holes. BTW, I have Mk2 'S' flares.

i really dont like the look of screws in flares so i bought wood and picket arches from england... with 6x10's the arches are filled out nicely and they were quite easy to fit!

these pics were taken before i painted them.. although i think you can order them with colour on them..

Did this make the flares stand off the sides of the car by any great distance?
