Can you send me the pics too please.  I'd love to take a look.

Where abouts do you guys plumb your oil supply and return lines? Do you just tap the sump or it that complicated with the gearbox in there?

I have been speaking to a couple of people about a turbo setup, and most of them have told me that cutting the fire wall is required, but i have found a turbo manifold, dump pipe and exhaust so i am getting that to save me cutting the firewall..
I would still like to see some pics of your turbo setup nuclear, when you have them just email me at
[email protected]
Cheers

http://www.miragemotorsport.com/ do manifolds etc, bit costly though. Not sure what snail it uses.

i am confused:
in Nuclear's first pic, the turbo manifold has 3 pipes going into the head.
arent these holes for the exhausts

i didnt know turbos were connected to the exhaust holes

Nuclear, nice setup !
Water cooled core, nice small compressor cover.... excellent...

I'm not so sure about the large diamter manifold though... you are relying on exhaust pressure to drive the turbine wheel, you're going to loose a fair bit of velocity in that transition from standard pipe size (port diameter) to the large "Log" runner....
Probably good at high revs, but I think it will be a little laggy up to that point....

But then again, mine runs out of puff about 7800RPM......

That the Dump pipe in the background ? nice.....

MORE PICS !!!

How much clearance does the exhaust have from the turbo back to the normal exhaust system exit? It looks like it will be a really sharp bend.

68matic.. the compressor and exhaust turbines in a turbo are connected.. the exhaust gasses heading through the exhaust turbine turn the compressor turbine the get more air in...

supercharger is much the same except the compressor is turned by the crank and the exhaust buggers off out the back of the car ( no exhaust turbine)

yeah.. that'll do...i could describe it better but well.... the gist is all i'm about... and i'm sure you get it :)

From their website: "Any unit from the Garrett T2 family of turbo chargers can be fitted and this includes the larger T2.5 units. This allows the turbo to be tailored to the performance characteristics required. The smaller T2 units having least lag, the larger units having a little more lag but a higher maximum power output. In our testing we have found that the T2 units we fit give the best all round performance for fast road use. Just one advantage of the T2 units used is the water centre assembly, this helps the turbo run cooler and helps prevent oil degradation in the bearings, which helps to maximize the life of the turbo."

and

"Our price for a set of manifolds is £350 inc postage within the UK"

Wouldnt it be lovely
