Ill have to hit em about how it will perform up this way. They way its written on there site when it mentions dryer stage, made me think it does pull the moisture out of the air? There is a dealer based in Gladstone so they might have half an idea how humid it gets up here.

Valid point about it scratching the car. I would look into stringing it up so its free standing and not relying on the air to hold it up.

I found a page on the site where they detail some sort of carbon return filter. Maybe this is the dehumidifier...but I'm still not sure. How would it be cleansed of water except by baking?

I suppose you could put the worlds biggest bag of silica in there with the worlds biggest DO NOT EAT sticker on it.

Considering how many REALLY expensive cars get stored in these things - they're pretty popular in UK and Europe, I'm guessing they have thought and solved the scratching issue.

Actually that's not so dumb.. get a big bag of the stuff and spread it around on the floor inside the bubble.

But being designed in Europe they may not of thought of dealing with humidity?

Silica gel sounds good, ill go to all the shoe shops n pinch some outta the display shoes/box's!

No, I think it rains a bit in Europe. I think they call it damp, rather than humidity though.

Ive been in touch with them and they offer 3mths money back guarantee also. It has 6 eyelets stitched in so it can be strung up so its free standing. I also questioned how it will perform with the extreme humidity we get in Cairns. There response was:

The Carcoon is designed to cope with extreme conditions such as high humidity, so what ever conditions are happening outside the Carcoon is controlling the conditions within the capsule, there is literally no dust, contaminates and moisture, so while the vehicle is stored it is preserved.

Well the three months should be enough time to find out I guess...but their explanation is ambiguous.

huh?

Still the dust and rodents will be kept at bay if they don't chew their way through.
