Given the interest, you could probably write a book and sell kits as well.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

Hi All,
My charger is arriving next week and hopefully next weekend my brother is bring his 196Volt battery pack over from newcastle and we will reduce it to 144Volts and put it in the mini for a test run. Ill take some fotage and post it on here. The batteries will have more power than the batteries I want to put in it so it will be interesting. There Odyssy PC 680, lots of cranking current but small amp hours, so it wont run for to long, maybe 20km. Wish me luck :)

Phill

1st vid shows the immediat torque, and the lack of suspension  .
I like what he classes as "easy"
All in all it's very impressive  8) I want one :D .
You got to be happy with that, when do you think it'll be on the road legally?

yeah I do need to put some more pressure in the hydros, When i pumped it up it had no weight in it. The torque is awesome. It wont be going again now untill I buy my own batteries as my brother took his pack back to Newcastle. I have identified a few little probs but nothing serious, all in all im over the moon with it. I think it will give any 16valve mini a run for its money, the power is very linear and smooth and there is absolutley no noise which is a bit strange, just plenty of power.

I will hopefully be taking it to the EV expo in sydney next month, hopefully i can sort some batteries out by then.

Cheers Phill

AWESOME !!! 8)

I had no idea it would be that quick. I hope your new battery pack will do it justice.

Well done, Phil, well done.

Now imagine it with NiMh batteries instead of those weighty lead acids.. :)

btw.. can we see a picture of the battery rack?
