I am thinking of changing over my wheel cylinders to accommodate silicone fluid. Although I've put new seals in the old ones they are an unknown and think I may as well have new all round to be sure. I note there are two sizes for FRONT available - 15/16" and 1" - 15/16" is standard but the blurb with the 1" says they will give getter stopping power. Anyone vouch for this?

Larger wheel cylinders won't give you greater stopping power per se; your linings and tyres dictate the maximum retardation. Larger wheel cylinders will reduce the pedal effort a little to achieve the same braking force, at the cost of slightly increased pedal travel (as the larger cylinders have a greater swept volume and therefore need more fluid).

Going from 5/8" cylinders on the 850 to 15/16" on later cars makes a big difference, but I would guess that 15/16" to 1" won't be very dramatic at all.

I think 1" were the Oz made ones, most replacements are 15/16"....

A mate of mine put 1" wheel cylinders in the front of his Mini, mainly because he got them cheap. He reckoned the brakes worked really well, better than other drum braked Minis he'd owned. However, he also put new drums, shoes etc at the same time, so I couldn't say for sure that it was the wheel cylinders themselves that offered the improvement.
