I just paid $54 for an upper and lower ball-joint kit through a local english auto spares place.

If I had have known that my joints where dead before I placed my order with Minisport earlier this week ,I'd have only paid $26 through them!!

I know I had a choice, but with the amount of movement in the wheel I need to change them this arvo.

Ohwell.

Didn't you replace them when you first got the car? Maybe that was a tie rod end?

I know the place you are talking about and I have yet to purchase anything from them.

Regards

And that's how it used to be until the arrival of the internet broke the stranglehold.

Nah, that was tie rod end.

I have a wobbly front end probably 75% of the time I brake, I am just glad it wasn't a wheel bearing as I absolutely HATE changing them.

Figure the ball joints shouldn't take me any longer than an hour or so when I get home today.
