The chrome filler strip for the front windscreen usually comes cut to 3 metre lengths. Just wondering if anybody can tell me how long (roughly) is generally required - I assume it is cut to 3 metres, allowing a little bit extra for variance?

yeah 3 metres was fine from memory, make sure you get some new metal clips to cover the joins up too.

If you're replacing the chrome strip for the front window screen, make sure you leave it a couple of inches longer, and leave it for a couple of days, so it can have some time to shrink and expand and what not, before cutting it to length. That way you wont get a gap if it shrinks :D

I hate how these `chrome' strips discolour and go brown and crappy looking after 12 months sunlight.
Yeah I know you can get black rubber filler strip instead, but it's too soft to make the screen rubber seal properly. :x

Always did, but used to last longer in the old days.
