Well after a long time pulling it apart I can at least say it's starting to go back together. Got the block back from GR early this week via Ken at MiniAuto - thanks Ken. Today was the first chance to do something and managed to get the welsh plugs in, the petrol pump hole cover on . Did the mod to the oil pressure relief valve and fitted that. Got the block onto the engine stand. Wrapped it all up in a plastic bag to keep the dust out.
Fitted the brake line across the front between the wheels and fitted the lines-flex hose and clutch slave cylinder after enlarging the mounting holes to the new bling tin master cylinder. Gave the wok cover and the outside edge of the drop gear case an etch primer coat of Kill Rust.

Apart from the stuff up with the primary gear bush not a bad day. Waiting on some circlips and other bits from MiniKing to get the dropgear bearings in and get all that together - starting to feel good

Well for once the silver birch came up on their computer as a 64 wheel trim colour no less...so it must be the right one I reckon..
