As you know, I too like my ride comfort....and every large bump we go over in Westinghouse reminds me of that....

I'm aiming for 346mm +-6.35mm

At the moment, we are down 25 mm min at the front and up 20mm min at the rear....

I think 45mm is a lot to be out of trim by

true
Get it done ASAP - match it with the correct height sidewalls on your tyres and you will love the result.

Next stop - Austin 1800!

Divorce will follow if another car arrives....

I came sooo close to bidding on an Austin Kimberly X6.....that was on ebay a few months ago....

Sold new in 1975 (how old is that stock??)
Full service history
all the manuals
negligible rust

....sigh....

We need more car storage and I need deeper pockets

As for tyres, have very basic Bridgestone 12x145....

much better than the cross plys I bought him with

I had the Princess pumped up recently - made a huge difference once they got it right (first time was an inch too high and the wheels baely touched the ground)

don't worry too much what it looks like when they first pump it up and it will settle a bit with a rock from side to side

As for the seats........... I'm with Morris - tightening or replacing the webbing isn't a huge job

Gotta be ready for March
