12V 2.2W screw in light globes for morris instrument panel. Tried autobarn, they sent me to Dick Smith. Dick Smith don't have them. Any ideas or just go to my mini mechanic and ask him? I was hoping to do it today while the instrument binnacle is off after spending half the day pulling out the engine immobiliser that someone shoved in behind the instruments years ago that started to smoke the other day! Thats another story. Cheers.

Can you get an LED to fit the same fitting or do you need to rewire the fitting (which is short enough as it is) I think the difference between the very old globes in there now and new ones the same type may be enough. Especially if it doesn't mean modifying the connections. I am open to suggestions though.
Thanks Dr Mini too.

it's 1/10A, ie 0.1A.
x12V = 1.2Watts.

My old man was over for dinner just before and I was showing him Ausmini (he's not into computers) (but drives a clubby!) and then I showed him what a thread is etc. etc. then he asked what DrMini in Aust was, I told him "thats a bloke who knows everything there is to know!".

Not exactly 100% certain, (not at home right now) but IIRC the globes are MES globes - (Miniature Edison Screw) or perhaps even a smaller Edison Screw thread version globe.
Edison Screw thread globes come in sizes from very large GES - Giant Edison Screw, ES - Edison Screw, SES - Small Edison Screw, to tiny - MES
