ill get some photos up when i get a chance bogged down with uni work but 50 metres from my house was stopped at a stop sign as u do slowly take off and the front left collapesed. turns out my front left ball joint came undone somehow. the tread on the hub half way down and about a quarter round snapped off? locking tabs all still in place? i was due to do all the grease nipples and regular check over this weekend too!!!!!!! soooo annoying but im extremely happy it happened there and i could limp it home semi back together. was planning on taking it out that night to with the partner, that wouldve been scary ive lost confidence in my car a bit now. need to do a thorough check over everything

Good fun eh?

If you're in need of a set of ball joints before the shops open on Monday, I have a new pair here (Point Cook).

The swivel hubs are just grey cast iron, brittle stuff, they do not take kindly to abuse. If a balljoint ever unscrews right off it often can break off a bunch of threads with it...
This is the same reason they should never EVER be welded... :!:
