I was out in the Moke a month or two ago and I had this guy in a black Hummer chasing me through traffic. I thought I must have accidentally cut him off or something. Eventually he pulled up beside me at some lights and told me though my Moke was cool. He wanted to know what a Moke was worth and I told him $5,000-10,000 for a roadworthy one, depending how good it was. He asked what mine was worth and I said about $6,000-7,000 roughly. He said "Is that all? Will you sell it to me?" I said, "Nup, it's too much fun!" just as the lights changed and I took off. :)

I had a note on my MGA once - didn't sell it to him though.
The mrs was getting into the S the other day outside her work, when a bloke driving past jammed his brakes on and reversed back up the road, traffic behind going everywhere and tooting and stuff, and said to her (by this stage she was a bit freaked) that he loved the car and would she sell it. Thankfully she said no!
I've lost count of the number of offers I've had.
Peter.

you should've said "you need to have taste to own a moke.... obviously a Hummer owner is utterly tasteless, so forget it"

I met my mate Phil by leaving a note on his mini.

I parked next his mini at the Hyperdome one evening and checked it out...his student ID was sitting on his dash so I decided to leave him a note asking if he'd be interested in joining a little club kinda thing.

I left my name, mobile, email address and myspace site lol I covered all bases.

I got an email from him about 3 days later saying: "Hey Kirsten.
My names Phil I own that blue mini you put that note on..."

And now he's part of Mini Mayhem :P He's also still got the note I left lol.

Yeah Brian - welcome to the team!

Join the (long) queue! Be prepared to spend serious amounts for getting around for inspections when you are ready, as most minis are in S.A! (seems like it anyway).

You will have to be quick, but not too quick , as you don't want to buy a fake for big biccys!

Good luck, and let the games begin!
