I know where there is a Cooper S in a backyard. It was a Bathurst car and then a motokhana car. It has not been used in 20 years.

Simon knows which one I am talking about. 8)

Look on the bright side. All these mini's that are parked in backyards and paddocks and are never going to re-surface on the "register" are driving up the value of your car !

Mokestar you`re so right,,, i`ve been at him & at him about this all my life but he`s a "gonna"...

he`s Gonna do this & he`s gonna do that & one day he`s gonna do this one up & one day he`s gonna do that one up & one day he is gonna modify this one & ,,, well,, yeah there is about 30 cars just sitting there rotting away, thankfuly we have the marcos, the station wagons, the daimlers & the Packard under cover,,, the Humber is outside, the kimberly ute is outside, the 1800 ute is outside, there were a couple of "S" ourside but i think they`ve gone now,,, both 1275LSs were under cover but he recently sold one of them,,, His Austin 7 is sort of half under cover,,, he has a triumph in one of the sheds but it shat a head gasket ages ago & he hasn`t bothered to fix it,,, there`s old mokes & mini sedans & some of our speedway minis & an old rover & one of the old hillclimb specials is just rotting away out the back yard

yep,,, it sickens me & he keeps saying that hes "Gonna" build a big shed soon

I reckon he`s just "gonna" keep playing with his dam computer & not do anything else ;-)

There's a Mini behind a garage in Redland Bay that's suffering the same fate. I check in on it every now and then, but still havent been allowed a good look at it. It's supposedly an early Coopers S, and hasn't moved in at least 5 years, but probably much longer. Last time I asked, the guy wanted $17 500 for it.

last time I drove thru Barellan, there was a white GT under a pile of rubbish in a shop front window, with words finger-written in the dust - "not for sale, so don't ask".

There's laws against neglecting children, but not against letting classic cars deteriorate. I don't get it
