Get someone else to press the clutch pedal while you watch under the bonnet.
See if...
1) The clutch arm moves.
2) The throwout carrier moves. (this is the bit poking out of the middle of the clutch housing with the two big nuts on it)

Do this and report back. :D

hi there,

none of those items move at all.

cheers

Right, that means the second half of the system is not the problem.

Now you will need to get on your knees and stick your head under the steering wheel. You have to follow the clutch pedal up till it meets the master cylinder. You have to find out if the pedal is hooked up to the master cylinder.

inside the vehicle...

it's easiest to remove the drivers seat, and lay on your back with you ass out the door...

looking up behind the steering column you will see where the brake and clutch pedals are connected to the relevant mast cylinders...

Image

basically in that diagram you are looking for #10, attaching the clutch pedal to the bottom of #12...

^^ thanks for the diagram.

checked this morning.

everything looks normal. Pedal arm is connected, split pin in place (it's just a bit of wire twisted), and i can see the push rod going into the bottom of the cylinder.

no fluids present, just no hydraulic pressure when pushing on the clutch.

take pipe off clutch MC.
check MC is full of fluid.
wrap rags around MC.
have charming assistant push pedal down slowly and hold.
put finger on top of cylinder, have assistant let pedal up.
repeat.......

If no fluid comes out of MC, the seals are stuffed or a port blocked. Time for seal kit or new MC.

clean up any spilt fluid with water, or it can strip the paint off...
