Alright... got my hinges kitted by Rob Ford, thanks heaps mate.
Now I just need the fixings for it - studs, washers, nuts, and bolts.
Am I assuming correctly that I need the studs on the rear most part of the hinge, and then a bolt the next one forward from that -still on the door.?

And then... I will need all the studs etc that I have mentioned.
Is anyone able to help or point me in the right direction?

They are all studs, except the forward one on the door.
I bought some 1/4 UNF bolts with full thread, and cut the heads off.

yeah me too, I tried everywhere even motor traders. They would sell like hot cakes if you could find a whole bunch of them. Cutting ems a lot of work

Bloody boot hinges.... the cast alloy strips threads so easy. UNF there was a poor choice.
I had to make some stepped studs, 5/16 UNC bolts mostly turned down to 1/4 UNF, after I tapped the boot hinges to 5/16 UNC.

Butchers stripping threads.... Insted of taping them out to the next size, why wouldn't you use a Helicoil or Recoil depending on the brand, thats what I used and you won't strip the thread again!!!! Unless you are a vey special person... It would make sense.....

Hey, I inherited this car, it probably had 6 owners before me... it wasn't me that overtightened them.
Have you seen how few 1/4 UNF threads there are, in the bottom boot hinge stud hole??? A helicoil in there would have all the strength of 1/2 a bent paperclip....
A stepped stud is stronger, UNC threads deeper (best for alloy) it won't come out anytime soon- Mr Loctite 262 is holding it fast.
Anyway, I have lathe, can make.... cost was zip, and the hinges still look original, just better.
I could have just used 5/16" UNC studs and drilled the bootlid, but nah...

Try united fasteners at cavan. I bought a heap about 4 months ago. They only had 1 1/2" long,but the short thread was the right length and cut off the excess
