High and dry thanks - Bl&^&%y insurance companies - just found out my 12mth old pool pump was not covered (power surge during storm) as the company changed the policy last year to "Top Cover" and took out the fusion of electic motors clause unless you selected it to be added  and then pay $100 excess on any claim.

yes, but go to your energy supplier and ask them for a claim form! You fill in your details and their insurance will cover it. I had my amp replaced by Ergon due to power surge

i had my own personal near disaster.......i had left my fave black thongs at the back door, in the morning they were on the front nature strip about 6 inches from the gutter......the rain had carried them straight down the path from the back door(about 40 metres).
it was a close thing, another minute of rain and they would have been in the gutter and gone for all time.a very near miss.
unfortunately the mrs' thongs were lighter and have gone for all time.
they were white, so really who cares?

I was wide awake in the big storms just waiting for the roof to go. The wind was that bad  Fortunately, we are in one piece with no damage. Now I just gloat about my drainage that I put around the back patio and how well it worked... Wifey is sick of me. 8)

oh great,,,, now i have this mental picture of Gaz running down his driveway in the rain, naked, chasing a black thong that`s being swept away by torrent of water like a white water rafting adventure :-)

oh!!!! you mean a pair of thongs???,,, like the ones worn on the feet???

:-)

i hate having to get new thongs it takes for ever to get that perfect foot grove in them so i can understand gazza if you got a bit emotional about losing your thongs.
