hey all me and my brothers had a lot of metal on our shed right so we thought lets take it up to scrap metal and get some money for it well we had about 300 kilo of metal we loaded on the trailer off we went to scrap metal to cash it in and when we got there they gave us $15 for it ripped of if u ask me how are we ment to buy a sand blaster with that much money lol that was the idea

The thing with scrap metal is to ring around and find who is paying the most. If you just take it to the local bloke he will only pay beer money.

I've been dealing in scrap metal for 6 years, 3 months ago i was getting $400 a tonne for it, since they closed China for the Olympics (thats where the all the scrap goes) the market has died, im getting $90 a tonne now.

So cheer up princess, if you made you living out of it i would sympathise with you!

A off the street person would be lucky to get $50 a tonne, dealers get around $80-90
