As per my post at the start of this thread, I am up to my second replacement from minisport for an outdoor waterproof cover. They have changed their add to warn you that in the 'harsh' Australian conditions (of Melbourne) they may not survive. My car is under a canopy and the car cover has still cracked to bits with only a couple of hours of sun getting on it each day. Minisport were very helpful but I am still left with a non waterproof car cover that is now falling to bits. I will be very careful before spending any more money!

I had similar probs with my boat. I bought a breathable Oz made one and it lasted over a year. I bought another the same and it lasted 3 months in summer... :evil: I bet their fabric is imported crap now. :cry:
So now I use a Supercrap silver tarp, they last me about 18 months.
My project Moke and NurseMini's Clubby van each have one too (yeah their paint is crap so no matter if it scratches). :lol:

No.
This was an `Oceansouth' BOAT cover, I bought from Bias Boating Warehouse.

My point is, some of these breathable fabrics sold now are just crap. :cry:

I'd recommend;

1) Put a breathable custom car cover on the car (protects the paintwork and lets the car breathe)

2) Cover that with a cheapo, waterproof cover that will take a beating from the sun and keep the rain off.
