"difficult in comparison"

Umm....yep. A lot more difficult. 8.4s just bolt on.

You also have to obtain an engineering cert for the camira conversion, where you dont have to with 8.4's.

Have a look through Brad's thread here , http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... ight=honda , they are a honda brake , not the camira ones but the whole process is virtually the same . As the others have said yes you'll have to get them engineered and it's best to talk to your engineer before starting as some like them , some don't and it'd be a shame to make the brackets only to turn around and have to remake them thicker or something . 8.4's will bolt straight up without any inspection or engineering needed and by the time you have Camira or Honda brakes certified it's probably not much cheaper than getting new 8.4's . Depends if you need bigger disc brakes or just disc brakes .

You see a few brake conversions on ebay and at swap meets. My logic is if they're selling them then somebody hadn't investigated the rules before building them.
