Locking caps were a BMC accessory. I think that Lenlock may have made the factory accessory caps.
The part number was HYL3843 for the Cooper S and HYL3498 for other Minis.
I assume the difference is that there are two cap in the Cooper S kit!

Is there a part number under the cap?

I was born as a Cooper "S" but then changed into a Morris Leyland 850 clubman moke :-)

There is a difference between HYL3498 and the Cooper S HYL3843, but you have to look very carefully.
