Ahhhh,,,, can`t understand what you`re all on about,,, it`s easy-peasy & just simply a matter of grabbing a screwdriver, slipping it in one of the 3 grooves & a slight twist with pressure on the clip...

& maybe just a tad of that special substance called """hold your tongue the right way"""

But one other trick is --> Don`t look at your thumb while you`re doing it :-)

There are many tougher challenges in life than fitting circlips to wheel cylinders.

Undo the master cylinder nuts and lift the master cylinder as far as possible, squirt split pins with WD40 or better and attack with good pointy nosed pliers from above instead of laying upsidedown in a rusty canoe.

Ha ha,,, thanks Dave,,, i love you soooo much,,, but i have never really struggled with them,,, doing them in muddy drive ways & mozzy ridden grass back yards & dark dungeons like readspeed for dad since i was about 4 years old,,, you tend to get a handle on these things after doing them for more than 40 years :-)

But hey... come around, bring the tool & i`ll shout the drinkahol ok???

If you do all this but release the return spring then remove the pedal pivot bolt too, you can lift the pedal up through the crossmember far enough to use real tools on it.

i agree dont know what you are all on about it is easy put one side of the C clip in and a bit of pressure on the other side with a screw driver tongue held at the right angle and it pops on

anyone who can do it without a tool is a champion - buggered if I could do it last week - I gave up and found an old clip that had just the right amount of spring in it

I'll be making one of those tools, when I get time
