Love the idea but it would not work.... For starters, these are being citified under " section S " in the uk which is for low ( less than 50 ) units. That and JK 5 speed boxes are no londer avialable and were priced at 1500 POUNDS !!! 8 years ago..

Interesting, although I can't stand the wheels, the arches obviously should be W&P ones and the cream leather looks OTT. I'd rather a more period look, rather than trying to make it look so modern.

I had heard that a GMH subsidiary (or supplier) had the equipment (stamps and jigs) to make LC/LJ bodies should there ever be a significant market demand.

Id fork out for a 2 door LJ any day!

Id still buy one even if it was badged as a Daewoo LJ...! My mate had a four door LJ with the weird four cylinder front end. It had a slant 4 in it of unknown origins.... I think it did have a lightning bolt on it, so we all assumed it was Opel? But didnt have the circle around it??? Some one said maybe brabham? Or was it just a starfire? Was an automatic to, it went oooooh ooooooh ooooooh.

The slant 4 was the Vauxhall motor.

I wonder how rare that thing would been then? Any ideas of the name or specs of that engine type? I remember the cam seized in it and I think he just about gave it away to some one to use as a rally car.......

The Margrave 50? Bit of a crappy name.

Sounds like a name for a Rover sedan, not a mini.
