How wide are wide steelies!??!??!

Mini i have done a deal on has them fitted with some wide'ish arches, now pondering weather to go with them or go with jellybeans(have in waiting) and shrink the arches as the need replacing!?

depends on who made them, and how they made them... some are just 3.5" rims turned around so they're wide, some have a band welded into them, all made by various companies, back yarders and everyone inbetween from original 3.5" rims with no real consistency

unless they're Cooper S style ones with LP918 stamped on one of the hubcap lugs, in which case they're 4.5", but I doubt it...

To know how wide, measure between the rim edges where the tyre seals, not the very outer edge, go to the nearest 1/2 inch.
Steel rims can be from 3.5 to 7 inch +

here is a picture of the wheels on my car.... 10x7" and as you can see very offset origionaly cooper S rims, i will be taking these off really soon as i picked up a set of 3 piece contessas 10x7 aswell....
