Hi all,
I have been waiting a long time for this, first event for 2009.

Eastern Creek Skidpan - wet concrete, a couple of training runs then 7 events x twice each.

39 starters and about 34 or 35 finishers. The Clubman came in 30th in some really tough competition - 37 WRX/STi/EVO s and 1 x commodore plus me !

Great day, temp guage never over half, didn't use any water or oil.
All in all a very successful day out.

uploaded one 30 sec grab to youtube- will try the photo thing later :D

extend the rear handbrake arms for a better stronger more motorkhana friendly handbrake

works a treat for old worn out handbrakes

great job out there.

Nirimba events aren't MCCNSW events as such, yes we can compete, but these are state rounds and are hosted by various clubs throughout the year.
MCCNSW runs events out at riverstone and these are advertised in the magazine and the website.

The Renault Car Club have a motorkhana training day at Eastern Creek skidpan next Saturday, 7th.

MCC NSW' training day is the following day - 8th at Riverstone. :D I'll be there - I need the practice. :)

the place they're hosted (blogspot?) are taking a lot of effort to stop you from embedding them in forum posts - best off either switching to photobucket etc. or linking them as URL's that people can click on

Here's the info on the RCCA Training Day, but you'd have to be quick as places are limited. Contact using the details on the flyer.

Thanks for the information about the motorkhanas around Sydney.

I have had a lot of past contact with members of the Mini Club and others through Group 7 and Clubs like TCC, NVCC, NSSCC, HDCC, WAC, CACA and LBMCCC as well as the WRX Club.
I have considered going to Riverstone (never been before) and I spoke with Arron (from this forum) about it. He said the ground is much better quality than Ansell Park for example, but nothing is like smooth concrete :D
My plan was to stay on smooth surfaces whenever possible - a no risk policy.
The choice for the NSW events (run by many of the Clubs above) was based purely on the venue at Nirimba.
Hope to get more involved and see some of you around the traps.
Graham
