ok lovely....

just got a dual gauge for the moke.

oil pressure and water temp, both are capillary.... so im gonna say mechanical... which im gonna say is easier to put in than electric?

I hate capillary gauges - I have had several fail and fill my dash with oil :twisted:

Yeah there is the chance of a break in the line. For the temp gauge this only presents an inconvenience, the oil line breaking is a little messier. Both gauges use the same bourdon tube mechanisms by the way, fascinating in simplicity and reliability..

I love thsoe old smiths twin gauges, I would love to set one up as oil pressure and oil temperature..
