I needed a 1/2" (and up) cylinder hone for doing Mini 0.7" MCs, also S rear wheel cylinders.
Supercrap sells one supposedly but after buying one recently I found it was 3/4" not 1/2", incorrectly packaged as 1/2".
I took it back and complained but meh, they didn't care. I bet they are all still hanging on the display.

Anyhow, last night I found & ordered a good one on the Snap-On website. At $26 it's only $4 more. I bet its quality is better too.

Supercrap are to automotive just like Bunnings are to hardware.....................

Lowest prices are just the begining of shithouse service.

 True, don't get me started on the local Bunnings. They ran the local Home Hardware out of business who'd been there for as long as I've lived up this way and not only are they more expensive but the staff are absolutely useless.

The local supercraps not too bad though, some decent girls work there. The staff, although fairly useless aren't tools like the Sprint auto nearby.

yeah, I feel for anyone working in retail these days. Employers treat them like sh!t.

We once had a perfectly good Mitre 10 shop about 10 minutes away. Top service, good prices.

Now when you go to Bunnings, it may take a few minutes to get what you want, you then wait ages to pay for it. So basically they have (just like the banks) decided their time is more valuable than yours, so we just line up & wait P!sses me off.

I got caught out with the hone as well, only I picked it up from Bursons. Same tool, same brand as supercrap. Claims to go down to 0.7", doesn't even come close...

I was actually going to hone and rekit a genuine lockheed clutch slave cylinder for the resto. I got so pissed off over the whole thing I bought a new one

If I had known that Snap on had them for 26 dollars however...

How could anyone have known the Snap-On sold anything for less than a hundred?

These were actually made in Taiwan, they should know better. We'll blame the printers then. 8)
They are not a bad hone, if you want a 3/4" one. :P

hmmm,
i will agree with you however about how employers treat their workers like sh!t, take me for instance, having a dispute with the boss over something he said he'd do, now its escalating up to area managers etc etc, fun

I dunno whats happening at your local supercrap, but its certainly not because they think their time is more valuable than yours.

I have the snap on one, from the Snap on van that comes to my work.

Got the fine stones too. It worked a treat just remember to stop the honer before you pull it out of the m/cylinder otherwise they fling out under spring tension and snap the stones.
