Yep, the skirt of #4 is definitely busted. Too many revs, or just too old, I guess. They are Mahle forged flat tops, only about 25 years old...! :lol:
I'll take a pic when it's out, next week. :wink:

Dunno if skirt is still on there or fallen into box...
Bores look fine, I'm hoping to get some pistons the same type, and do a quick hone & re-ring & bearing job. Oil pressure is still great too.
We'll see after it's stripped next week. 8)
If necessary, I'll bore it, or my auto block to 1330 or 1360...

Noise? I though it sounded a bit funny under load- above 4000 it was still sweet though! :shock:

Ooh crap. I can only imagine how farked the piston will be.
Lets hope that it hasnt a) scraped the crap out of the bores and b) dropped metal all thru the bore.

Yer the we were looking at the Dr motor and Number 4 was rocking north south when you turn the engine by the pulley :shock: "Dr that does not look right :? It Think it out time :twisted: " Dr :twisted:
