G'day,

Been ringing around trying to get a set of 165/60/R12s for my car and ive been told by a few places that bridgestone no longer make tyres smaller than 13 inch.

Is this true? because judging by the bridgestone website they dont have a listing for anything under 13 inch.

Could anyone suggest another good set of 12" tyres. maybe Michelin's ??

Any info would be appreciated. cheers,
Marc

as far as i am aware Bridgestone do not make them in 12 inch anymore.

I have the new Falken Ziex tyres and have no issues with them whatsoever, I know the old version had a pretty bad rap but these ones seem fine.
You should check out www.ausmini.com/tyres

WRONG!

The SF226 comes in a 145 12", and 165 10". If you're looking for 165 12" in a bridgestone, you're outa luck.

Not sure about 12" but I liked them in 10" when they first came out , they were so far ahead of the old Birdgestone SF310 turbo it wasn't funny . Other tyres now are probably better again but at the time Yokohama's were very expensive by comparrison so they were a good compromise .

I am getting a new set of Bridgestone 12s over the weekend.

Look at their webpage, they have 10s and 12s.
For Minis they have the S226 in 165/70R10 and 145/70R12. (the 145/70R12 is the standard size for the 1275LS but are a bit skinny for most peoples taste!)

For the Morris 1100 they have the Bridgestone B80 155/80R12.

i just had a look at the ausmini tyre suggestion page and im not going to pay $105 for the Falkens if i can get the Yokohama's for $120.

but by the looks of things Yokohama dont sell the 165/60/12's anymore either.
i think falken is my only option if i want a 165.

thanks for all the help guys

When I tried to get a set of 165/10 Bridgies late last year BS told me "no longer available"; ended up getting one from Sydney, one in Canberra and two from Albury.

Seems to depend on who you ask...

Good luck, Ian
