I dunno whether it's just me that loves this, but I've been searching around for SU's a fair bit lately and I've stumbled on some pretty cool variants and setups. I just love the brass!

Love the brass.

I'm feeling very smug, just picked this up on ebay.

I already have a set of H1 1 1/8" carbs off a Mk1 Sprite to go on it.

A bit about them here

I saw an Aquaplane twin H1 manifold at the Ballarat swap on the weekend. It was $80 so I left it as I didn't know enough about it. The dude has a pic on the mk1 performance site.

Ooh, Aquaplane ones are nice too, that's another name in my permanent ebay query. They made a matching cast alloy oil cooler that looks like an old household radiator.

H1 carbs are tiny. They are only 1 1/8", about 30mm. They are really only any good on an 850. I've never measured the size of the ports in an 850 head though, maybe they are only about 30mm too?

I may end up using mine with an old 12G295 head I have, depends on what the experts reckon.

Don't do that, the '295 is a great breather, best head for a smallbore according to Vizard. I've got twin HS2's on mine, it could probably flow enough to use two HS4's..

A bit of both. I've been watching ebay for over a year and haven't seen a single one come up, then 3 came up last week. Another bare manifold (possibly a little worse than mine) went for about $180, a fully recoed pair of carbs on a polished manifold went for $450 and I paid about $100 including postage.
