I have been doing it this way for 30 years and have never broken one.
I will say however that I always ensure that the bolts are as long as possible and tightened properly.

geez ease up 1310/71 I hadnt checked that old thread in a while, i didnt no they had been talking about mounting them as well....heaven forbid i open another thread..... :lol:

And a sincere thankyou to everyone that has helped, should be putting the head on the stand on thursday!

I should be taking the bottom end off on thursday if i successfully get it on the engine stand. Wat you doing thursday night? if your home ill pop over and drop off the flywheel remover.

They won't put a SWL on milk crates, simply because it's illegal for anybody to have them in their possession but the milkos.
Read the not-so-fine print on the side.. :wink:
