I have bought an engine on ebay, and its in Melbourne. However the owner isan't interested in packing it, or having anything to do with it, so I was wondering if a member here, can pick it up, and take it back to their house, put it on a skid, and wrap it, so that way I can get a courier company to come and pick it up to deliver to Brisbane for me. If you wish, I will shout you some $$ for fuel and time, if need be.

The only other thing is, if someone knows a courier company that I can use, that will just go and pick it up pretty much as is for me, its all put together, just the gear stick housing is separate, but the rest is in one piece.

Please let me know if you can help, thanks Guys, i really appreciate it. :)

ok, thanks to some lovely people on here, i managed to get it sorted, however, I am still needed someone adivce on how I am going to weigh the engine up, so i can get an approx weight to the courier company. I don't want to be paying for a whole lot more than I need to, if you know what I mean. Does anyone know how I could weigh the engine, to get a close ish wieght idea??

thanks guys.

Is it just the engine or the entire engine/box/diff.

Weight the trailer empty. Load the engine, then weigh the trailer with the engine. :)

its got the whole lot, everything you need to run the engine. It runs. It has coil, carby, manifold, starter motor, head, block, gbox, diff, and even raditor!

Why not strap it to a pallet and the transport company just charge by size (ie one pallet)- weight dont matter (i think)

Thats the way that work works (Thats through a transport company not couriers)
