Hi! I'm Mark Hurston, and I'm a nooby to your site, but a long time Mini nut up near Seattle, Washington, USA.
I'm picking up a 77/78 Mini Clubman Van ( with windows ) in the next couple of weeks. I'm already looking forward to having another LWB car, and getting it on the road.
I'll probably be asking alot of noob questions about the Australian variances, so please bear with me.

Thanks alot!

MSH

Hi,
I'm James, I live in Adelaide and I've just (last night) bought a late 60's Mini van as a restoration project. It's had a bit of molestation over the years from what i've seen so far, but it should come up pretty nice eventually:)

I also have a Morris 1100 (my second one) aswel as some other less relevant cars:)

Hi. Whilst I am not currently a Mini owner, I have owned four Mini's since 1968. My first was a mid-green 1964 Morris 850, NSW Rego Number DNF-248. I was the second owner and I still have the purchase receipt. I traded in my 850 through Lancaster Motors, Chatswood, NSW, on a brand-new 1969 Morris Mini K in December 1969.

Unfortunately I do not have the chassis number or engine number for my 1964 Morris 850, but am curious to learn if it still exists, and better, still, if it is in the hands of an enthusiast. I had changed the original grille on my 850 to a chromed, slatted Mini De Luxe grille.

Regards, Rob

Thanks Mick :D

My 1969 Mini K was Crystal White, Rego AWY-699. Car No. YG2S1 4892 and Engine No. 10YC/TA/H 5485. It would also be great it this car was still around, again in the hands of an enthusiast.

Cheers, Rob Turner

Hi Rob! The best person to talk to about tracking down is Ian (sports850 on here), he has a register of 850's and might be able to shed some light although might prove difficult without the engine/body details. Good luck though!

Thanks for that Jess. Agreed, it will be difficult to trace without the engine/body details.

Cheers, Rob

Hi all,
I'm Rissole, or ChubbasunkaMiniLanda,

I bought my first mini in 1969, long before most of you were born.
Over the years I've owned well over a dozen minis, of which at least 4 were genuine Cooper S'.

My pet hate is mini Deluxe, MiniK, etc made to look like Copper S, and worse, sold to poor suckers as the geniune article!
People who do this should be prosecuted for misrepresentation, or fraud.

I don't own a mini at present, but still love em, but my son does, a turbo "850"

He's here, as "Boosted mini"

Long live the RED! :P

Cheers,
Rissole

Hi,

I'm Bill, from a small town near Austin, Texas and recently joined Ausmini at the recommend of bmacpiper. I have 3 Minis and a BINI...photos will be posted soon.

A stock original, '64 Austin Mini Super Deluxe, with the Magic Wand and the 848 cc lump. I imported this Almond Green/OEW Mini from the UK about 6 years ago. It was featured in the July 2002 Mini World mag...in an article entitled "Capitol Classic". Currently rebuilding a spare 848...as I find parts. If anyone knows a good source for 850 pistons, let me know. :?:

A stock original, Australian '66 Morris Mini Cooper S, once owned by Bob Holden and featured in Craig Watson's (Watto) 2003 Mini Calendar. I am told Mr. Holden last drove this car in the Trading Post Gran Prix Rally. I found the car in San Diego, California about 4 years ago. This Shadow Blue/Toga White MMCS is my pride and joy! I am looking to gather as much information on this car as possible...so if you may know any history...please share it with me. :?:

A stock original, '69 Traveller from New Zealand with a 998 that came to the USA sometime around 1999. A now-faded Mustard Yellow has begun a ground-up resto and will be brought back to life as a "period" blue and will sport the wood trim kit and 3-clock binnacle. If anyone has any ideas on which blue to paint this car...I am open to suggestions.

My BINI and daily driver is a modded...215 hp...'03 Cooper S...Indi Blue with a White top.

Cheers,
Bill

Welcome to the fold Bill.
It sounds like a nice collection you have there. Feel free to post up as many pic as you want when you get the time. We all like to see what each other have got! :D
If you post up as much info and pics of your Cooper, I'm sure some of us could give you a bit of info on it or atleast point you in the right direction.

Cheers.
