It all boils down to common sense. Maybe in future ask the question in Minichat, 99% of the time a "pro" will see it and you will get a 100% correct answer.

like on another forum when someone asked how to get the carpet off a parcel shelf, everyone gave the obvious answers, and someone(who is a trimmer by trade) said use tomato sauce and let it sit in the sun for a bit. the person believed them and ended up having a parcel tray that smelt like tomato sauce

I have numerous problems with the Moke over the years. I have had answers ranging from wrong to brilliant.

But I do get answers - I spend time reading and testing to determine those that are right and those are less right. That enables me to be better armed next time.

If you want 100 percent correct every time - then you better start learning or flexing your credit card and then you will realise most of professionals have less idea than alot of people on here.

IOne of Two skills necessary on this forum

1. The correct knowledge of minis/mokes
2. The ability to identify the first.

You need 'go fast' stripes for a start - but then you have to know how to tune them to get the best use out of them - suggest you call GR or was that JR then maybe it was the bloke next door

it's because the engine is sitting on the floor, instead of in the engine bay...

Matt, If your mini doesn't run I would suggest that the colour isn't the problem.
Legs or feet could be really sore

What you will need to do Matt, is take an example from others. Hang around in the background and offer nothing to the greater good of the forum.

Then pop up and forum troll the efforts given by people who do think its worth having a shot. Fail to provide details, and leave it as vague as you can lest it be seen that the error was righted and two people now have the correct facts.

Be careful never to stick your neck out far enough to have a go and then recede further down into your hole once done.

Set sphincter to 5 thou gap, and insert thumb.

It should see you on your way!

Oh, I forgot.... ;)

I'll be f*ked if there's going to be mini mechanic royalty around here. Everyone can have a go, if it's unknowingly in error, then a jolly good discussion will ensue and we'll all go have a nice cup of tea.

but its a perfect example which is bought up millions of times not just hear but at any workshop u work into...

u need to remember that u could have all the knowledge in the world on minis and 9/10 u will get the right answer BUT!!... when sorting out a problem on a car and asking someone who cant see/hear/smell or feel the problem, u will generally end up with the wrong answer from time to time, especially if its something like my mini wont start or run...

there could be over a 100 things wrong with it for not starting, but for someone over the net to say to u, this is the problem is bullsh*t. many times i have asked for advice over this forum and many times alot of the problems i have never solved even with the advice from here, ive had to send it to a mini shop and have them say ahh yes its this....

its all trial and error when taking advice over the net, and basicly the best way to work out the correct answer is to think about the problem and think about the answers u got... and then use the answers that would more then likely relate to the problem....

just my 2c
