hey guys and girls

when my mini is finally ready for paint i'm going to paint it purple, i have been to the paint store a few times and still haven't found the colour i'm looking for. I'm open to dark and light colours, pearls, metalics. so if people could post photos of purple cars they don't have to be photo's of mini's so i can hopefully find the colour i'm looking for.

cheers dan

I was (and still are) thinking about painting mine in the new SS Commobore Purple with a Union Jack on the roof in a matching Red White and Blue metallic/pearl too. Then again as its an Aussie Clubman may go the Aust flag instead.

The first time I looked at my car when I was going to buy it, it was raining. I thought it was navy blue. When I went to pick it up it was raining again, but this time I noticed the colour was much purpler. I don't know the actual name of the colour, but in some light it looks like a cadburys car, purple body white roof. I've posted these shots before.

And here it is looking blue.....

Good luck getting representative photos of purple cars, I've yet to meet a digital camera which can make a purple look like it actually does.

I was thinking about the current Holden purple for my van, but the more I see of it the more I think it has too much magenta in it. The current Ford purple looks much nicer to my eyes..

be careful when painting your car purple, or this may happen

I used to have one like that. Well it was like that when it left the factory, by the time I got it, it was a bit less than. I bought it for parts for my Sports Sedan that I also never seemed to finish.....

Oh, if only we had hindsight back then.
