Hello Guys,

Mini is running hot, i think cooling system needs a good flush and a new thermostat, will this one do the job?

http://www.minisport.com.au/prod131.htm

Can you get these form Repco or are they specific to the mini?

Thanks
JB

Yep, that'll do but if your engine is running hot then it's probably not the thermostat. Give it a good flush, clean the radiator and then think about changing the thermostat.

Repco et al probably won't have a Mini thermostat in stock, but they'll order one.

They are not Mini specific, it is a matter of the right size and the right temp.
A Chev V8 uses the same thermostat as a Mini and so do a lot of other cars.

Ok, thanks...

Car has been sitting for a while so it could be just a matter of a clean but i would like to be safe as my worst fear is car over heating...

After clean i think a new rad cap and thermostat are in order
