 Post subject: Hinges and doors

Got the door off with the bodgy hinge - are the holes in the door skin normally about 1/2" diameter cf the bolts in the hinge at 5/16" ? I can see how this could allow for adjustment but a couple are elongated and can't tell if they are worn bigger as well as elongated :?

Yes the door holes are elongated for adjustment.
Remember to put the 2 tapered alloy washers on the top hinge, on door only. Big flat washers go on stud first, inside the door.

Noted (and kept aside ) one tapered washer didn't see a second - but then a few things fell down into the door pockets and I left them there :roll:
