I have a completely reconditioned 12G940 Head sitting here.

I dont want to pocket the block, and ive just finished an 1100 60thou.

I was considering putting a 1275 together, i can get block and crank off reid, but theres a few parts that are a bitch price wise.

So, whats the head worth. How common are they.

Has it had any port work done?
When you say reconditioned, what did they do?
ie has it been decked, valve guides done, valve stem seals, recut seats, new valves etc?

I think we need a bit more information and maybe a picture then a better idea of value can be determined.

or

You could just sell it to me for $200 ......

So around $600, im not sure what its had done to it, the guy that gave it to me said it had new valves, guides and springs, it looks clean, and its coated in a anti rust agent. The face looks clean, ie machined.

New 1275 valves, guides (stock ones) and decent (180lb) springs are worth around $350 alone.
I paid $220 for a good bare head years ago, so IMO $600 is near the money for this one.

Now i just have to make the decision to machine a 1275 block and crank, and start another build, or sell the head. If i only had more $$$$$$$.
