i have one engine steady in drivers side, not left hand side doing that next.

The 1275 engine brace under the thermo.

Take a pic of the extractors. There are some types that need the engine out to install.

omfg!

if that is the case then ill chuck it.

after putting everything in i'm not about to pull it all out.

i did check to see if it would fit in before it seems to fit behind but the angle where it bends down under hits.

don't have a photo but it has a tiny bit of metal coming out the side as if it braces onto something.

Ive not fitted one of them myself. But could you separate the middle part and attach that, then slide the sides up the back of the block?

ok cool well ill try what you said mate.

but is it meant to sit flush on the engine wall?

i would think maybe it may resonate on the body ?

vibrations etc?

any exhaust place will sort this out right as i need to buy a new exhaust system while im at it!

any thing people recommend.

1275 little bit of work done port & polish.

It is quite a few years since I did the last set of these but from memory you will have to unbolt the engine steadyso the engine can be tilted forward, remove the y piece and then feed the y shaped but down the back, i seem to remeber that you also have to undo the engine mount on the side they run down, as they go down you have to turn them around, you start at 90deg when you feed them down, next its the single pipe much the same way. it is a tight fit but they will fit, then bolt to head lower the engine back down and do up the engine mount and steady tthen under the car and refit the y piece and dont forget some manifold sealent on the joint.

like I said its been a few years and not the most pleasant job but they will fit :D
