I've started a model project of one of Peter Manton's mini's , I'm using a Tamiya 1:24 cooper s kit (monte carlo rally version so I have minilite wheels) but haven't decided which version to do yet . I have the following two transfer sets ,

and want to super detail the kit so am looking for photo's of engine bay and interior of either version . The decision of which one to do will depend on which version I can find the info of . The tamiya kit is very detailed to begin with but I am intending to go further with the engine bay and interior so any photo's will be appreciated . I have yet to dig through all my magazines (the mini experience included) but am interested to see what everyone has access to here .

I prefer the Neptune car myself,

I've got one of the tamiya models on the go now as a mini replica of Scooby. We should show and tell when we're done.

Will do that eventually Mick , but want to know which one to start with (and probably won't super detail the next one , will see how much it annoys me ...) .

Yeah , will check with watto as well (and check the mag's) , but this engine is screaming out to be super detailed , dipstick , clutch arm etc , just need to see how things were setup in the engine bay ....

Manton raced his Mini as a LHD on some circuits like Catalina and Oran Park.
It may be hard to get roll bar detail when the car didn't have a roll bar for most of the period.

For those that don't know, Neptune was a petrol company. They were owned by Shell.

That's right , but which was it , the blue or the yellow version ? From memory the blue but not sure , did he have two sets of pedals/master cylinders or just swap them ? I've heard he had a special rack with two pinions but then thought that was discounted by "experts" ?

haha - the ultra scientific "jump test"

I prefer the yellow version Ian

I've got 2 of those tamiya kits, I really want to do replicas of my 2 S's, but dunno when I'll get around to them
