Need a reducer to take the probe for the temp sender for my new gauge. The adapter that came with it is 1/2" but the hole is 5/8" (I think) Is it NFC ?

Edit changed 3/8 to 5/8 - had a blond moment

OK...

The temp sender in head is either 5/8-16 (UNS bastard thread) or 5/8-18 UNF (depending who you talk to).
All I can say is, a 5/8-18 UNF tap cleans it out properly without removing metal so IMO it's close enough. AND, you can buy them...

Nope it's not 3/8 NPT or BSP, it is 5/8-18 UNF.

And to those who say noooo, it's 5/8-16 UNS bastard thread, I'll say a UNF tap screws right in and doesn't cut metal out.
