In a similar situation myself. So do you just get one about the right size for the batterybox?

None of the stores I have seen have any listings for mini anymore.

Regards

Doesn't matter -- just get the biggest one which will fit in the battery box and still has the terminals on the correct side.

ive now gone to an orbital blue series deep cycle battery.

750cca if i remember
there the same six cells as optima and can handle a amp load of 370
its the same as a optimia from what im told.but im not sure if its gell??..and has never been flat and its been sitting since my accident and still is fine thats late 2005.
there cheaper than optimia too...but cant remember what i paid...my first optima was just under $600.
there not as heavy as the optima iether and mine has double posts wich came i handy as i needed them for the stereo..
here is the wright up on it...
The introduction of the Exide Select Orbital into Australia and New Zealand has provided a technically advanced solution to many power storage problems. The conventional wet, lead acid battery will be the product we all identify with and will continue to provide excellent service and value for money for most energy storage applications.

The Exide Select Orbital offers another approach to energy storage that is finding many uses in specialised applications. The proven spiral wound cell provides maximum power at a lower resistance, allowing for faster discharging/charging. The separator material is an Absorbed Glass Matt that means there is no free electrolyte that can spill or even needs topping up. Each cell has its own valve, which is regulated to only open under extreme conditions, thus allowing the battery to operate as a totally sealed unit and be fitted into spaces not previously possible. It can even be mounted on its side or on an angle. The VRLA (Valve Regulated lead acid technology) is used extensively in power back up applications and assumes the electrical environment is working to specifications.

Due to the technically advanced features of this product, it offers wide application within the recreation and special vehicle areas. Portable power for camping, many uses in the 4WD and marine markets and uses for the automotive enthusiasts. Sound systems, show cars, classic and veteran vehicles. When you have a special need for power storage there is now a solution when you choose an Exide Select Orbital battery.

• Sealed maintenance free
• Spiral wound advanced technology
• Multi-terminal design
• Operates in any position
• Vibration resistant
To purchase an ORBITAL Battery for your SPECIAL APPLICATION please click the button below, fill in your details and provide a daytime contact number and we will take it from there! (Australia Only)

For continuous charging and recharging over years of service, the Exide Select Orbital Deep Cycle battery is our best.

Firstly, thanks so much all for the feedback and advice.

Nana is getting a new jolt tomorrow. The minifreak1 nailed it for me. I'll treat it as an early Mothers Day pressy for Nana. If that don't wake her up nothing will.

Again, thanks all, I really appreciate the help.
